.....INVENTION SPONSORSHIP
By sponsoring an invention now you could earn a
significant chunk of future royalties if the invention takes off.
For nearly five years we have been
researching, building and testing first-prototypes. This remains our core
activity. However last year we launched a service to directly assist inventors
to sell their inventions to manufacturers.
I firmly believe that the only way to sell inventions is in an appropriate business to business context and through a professional sales engineer. We now have a number of commercial projects under way at the moment. Each of these projects has been through the process of searches/prototyping and patenting.
We have recently been
informed by a large electrical goods manufacturer based in Essex that they
want to include our client's invention in their new range due to be
released in the third quarter of this financial year! So that's quite exciting
and we will be meeting again with them soon to finalise the technical and
commercial aspects.
Each of the above clients has paid a fee and signed over a proportion of future royalties to PES Ltd (if we are successful). Some clients cannot afford the fee however. Having invested in patent searches, prototyping and a patent application they may be unable to find the money which is necessary to enable us to contract a freelance sales consultant.
This proposal, which you might like to
consider, is to fund the cost of contracting a professional sales
consultant in return for 10% of future royalties. This would make it
possible for the client to get the commercial side of the project moving without
having to find significant funding.
