Benches often tend to be too low for comfortable working (without getting a bad back). It is therefore often very helpful to have a work surface that is higher up. The Temporary Work Bench is simply a sheet of thick plywood with a strip of timber attached beneath. The strip is held in the jaws of a vice and you have an instant raised-level work surface.
